“Lifting the 10/40 Window Lower East Gate to the Lord- East Indochina Peninsula Gateway city mission.”
(Church Planting Through Integrated Ministry of Medical Mission)
The workshop will report on how God has enabled Dr. Woo, M.D. to leave a comfortable life to establish a comprehensive hospital in a countryside of Long An, Vietnam. This area is known for the devastating effects of the Agent Orange that was sprayed during the war. The Long An Hospital opened in 2006 and currently has over 95 staff members. Through serving as a healing agent through medical missions, Dr. Woo desires to build churches and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. An overview of three primary ministry areas will be informed. Dr. Woo will also inform on another challenging ministry project: “Gateway City Ministry” – a medical outpost base center in a very strategic location that is recognized as an important gateway to Vietnam, Laos, the eastern part of Thailand, and the northeast of Cambodia. It also serves as a bridgehead for the minority tribes across the east Indochina peninsula. Attendants will be able to visualize how the wave of the gospel can flow through this strategic location. Medical missions serve as a creative channel to share the gospel and the possibility of building churches. Dr. Woo will inform on opportunities the healthcare communities in the US and abroad can serve together in this strategic endeavor.
