“I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)

President’s Greeting

Dear GMMA Family,

Hope you have already registered for the upcoming conference. If you have not, please register and don’t miss out on this life-changing opportunity. There will be something special waiting for you.

Let us desire to be fully used for God’s glory! Let us stand together with total dependence on God’s hands and experience the greater. Let us pray together, let us worship together, and let us kneel together in the wonder of God. Let us surrender to Him, that He may use us as HIS vessels of grace and love in this broken world. Let us discover and rejoice together as He blesses our collective efforts. We will be able to witness this corporately at the conference! I hope to see each of you at the conference and experience this together.

In His Service,
Peter Chung M.D.

On April 14th, Dr. Sang Hoon Ahn led a team of oriental medicine doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, a radiologist, post-graduates, and 16 students from the UCSB, USC, UCLA, and UOP Chapters to a dumpster village located in Tijuana. The team set up a clinic, shadowed doctors, and held VBS for the children. For many in the team, it was their first GMMA mission trip. Throughout the trip, God moved their hearts, and their eyes were opened to how God shows his love to His beloved children through their services. We found ourselves filled with joy and wanting to go back to serve.

We thank you for continuing to keep each of the GMMA mission teams in your prayers. Please continue to pray for each upcoming trip. Thank you!

Professional Activity Highlights

It was a busy month per usual for GMMA professionals and post-grads serving faithfully amidst their busy work schedules. We are thankful for each and every one of them. The few pictures below show a glimpse of the various activities that happened this past month. Please remember these are just a few of the many events happening across the nation. We have new mentors joining to serve the campuses and new clinical volunteers for upcoming mission trips. We recognize and thank missionary Hwang, who arrived from Cambodia just to help with the conference preparation for a several months.

Soli Deo Gloria!

We are so thankful for the dedicated post-grads and professionals who are helping with the conference preparation every week. They focus on the conference during the day and then return to studying for the MCAT, applying to medical schools, preparing for graduation, and managing their private practice. The coordinator’s house is open to all volunteers who are willing to come and lend a hand with planning and preparing weekly in May, and daily from June until the conference.
