The GMMA-Rocky Mountain Chapter had its 1st Annual Regional Forum on August 21, 2015 at Parker Adventist Hospital Conference Center. Thank you for all those who joined us for an afternoon of praise & worship, Round Table Discussions, and Fellowship. We had 33 people in attendance from all over the Metro-Denver area. Of our attendees, the majority were students who were either pursuing or interested in pursuing careers in healthcare and were also interested in global missions.
The Forum started with an introduction from the GMMA-Rocky Mountain Chapter President, Dr. Susanna Sun Choi, who introduced the Rocky Mountain Chapter; we were very fortunate to have Dr. Peter Chung as our keynote speaker. Following the keynote speech, we broke up into small groups to begin our Round Table Event.
We had a very successful Round Table Discussion where we had 6 different local healthcare professionals share their experiences in missions, their professions, and their walks with Christ; we had a diverse group of Round Table Speakers ranging from nurses, dentists, students, and doctors. Small groups of students were able to rotate through each table every 15 minutes in an open discussion with the speakers for an intimate, and in-depth experience. Students were challenged, inspired, and educated about the healthcare profession, missions, and about strengthening their relatonships with God.
The forum concluded with a presentation about the National GMMA Conference next year by Dr. Mary Roh (GMMA National and GMMA-RM Board Member), which definitely had everyone, excited about the opportunities and experiences to look forward to next summer. We would like to once again thank our GMMA-RM Board for all their prayers and support, all the forum speakers, all our volunteers at the forum, and all the attendees. Thank you!
